About Me
I’ve spent fifty years in and around competitive swimming — as an age grouper, a Division I athlete at Dartmouth, a Masters swimmer, and a swim parent who watched her daughter come up through New England Swimming.
Over the years, I noticed something that kept coming up: swimming trains almost everything. Except mindset.
When it comes to the demands of racing — handling pressure, adapting when things don’t go to plan, staying engaged when things get uncomfortable — swimmers are often expected to figure it out on their own.
My background brings together two worlds. I know competitive swimming firsthand, and I spent more than 20 years at IBM learning how to take complicated ideas and turn them into something people can understand and use.
That’s the perspective I bring to Swim Mindset Collective.
I’m here to help make the mindset side of performance more concrete, practical, and usable — without asking coaches to become mindset experts.
